Please note that Field Excursions 1 (Ediacaran of the Avalon Peninsula pre-conference trip) and 4 (Burin Peninsula) are now full. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for these trips, please let us know via the 'Special Requirements' section of the registration form when you register. Please note that Trip 5, a one-day post conference excursion, will visit several of the Mistaken Point localities and still has places available.
Conference registration will be available at an early-bird rate of CAD $280 per person until 30th April 2017.
The conference fee will entitle delegates to a welcome pack, attendance at the icebreaker reception, all conference sessions, keynote lecture, morning and afternoon refreshments, abstract submission, and boxed lunches for both days of the meeting.
Registration for the meeting will close on 22nd May 2017. Delegates registering after the 30th April will be subject to an additional late registration charge of $50 CAD.
Abstract submission has now closed. Thank you to all delegates who have submitted an abstract. We have had over 130 submissions!!! We will contact all delegates who submitted abstracts with a decision by mid-April.
Duration of oral presentations will be 20 minutes, comprising 15 minute talks plus 5 minutes for questions/changeover. Presentations will be accepted only in Powerpoint format, and should be loaded from a USB stick prior to the start of the sessions.
Posters will be in portrait format only, at a maximum size of A0 (width=841mm, height=1189mm).
Thematic issue of the Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences
A thematic conference volume of short papers exclusively focused on Ediacaran–Cambrian topics of relevance to the symposium will be published in late 2017 as a special issue of the Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, guest edited by Dr Marc Laflamme and other members of the Organizing Committee.
All manuscripts for the thematic volume will be subject to regular peer-review and must follow the journal's style. If you intend to submit a paper to this volume, please indicate this in your email when you submit your abstract.
